The Historical Jesus
Was there really a person named Jesus who lived about 2000 years ago? Until recently even skeptics would answer 'yes', but now one way to avoid Jesus' question 'Who do you say that I am?' is to claim that he was just a myth or legend. But there is good written evidence for Jesus as a flesh-and-blood human being...the one we know from the Bible...just like there is good archaeological evidence for the buildings and cities of his time. We will look at the Historical Jesus as reported both in the Bible and outside the Bible.
